The tubeset of the 555 frame uses specially designed shapes to increase
stiffness while maintaining the comfort for which Look frames are so renowned.
In conjunction with the thin-walled and oversized tubes, a beefy bi-oval
downtube is used to achieve consistent torsional stiffness throughout the frame.
The result is an efficient yet lightweight frame for all styles of riding: fun
recreation to full-on racer. The main frame is mated to a 310 gram genuine Look
HSC-5 SL full carbon fork. No other frame in this price range includes a fork of
this quality! Colors are gloss black with red front or gloss black with white
front.
T2T Tube to Tube Technology - First, each individual tube is molded
and cured. Then, every tube is custom cut and mitered then joined together by
additional strips of handk-wrapped carbon. Finally, the complete frame is
oven-cured one more time.
Comfort Concept Stays - The 555 frame gains greater vertical
compliance by a special flattening of the center sections of the rear stays.
Additionally, by flattening the stays the ends of the tubes are widened which
creates more lateral stiffness. A win-win custom Look design!

2007 ~
For 2007, Look matched their excellent 555 frame to two high
performance road kits for unrivaled value. Choose 20 speed Shimano 105 Compact
or Ultegra Race. Color is black with red and white decals.
The Look 555 carbon frameset uses the same handmade construction of the 585 but the tubing is
High Modulus carbon instead of VHM. The carbon lugset and aluminum bottom
bracket are borrowed from the 565. The 555 is
even more "buttery" but at 2.8 lbs, not quite as light. The all carbon HSC
5 SL fork is a mere .77 lbs!
