When Eddy Merckx, considered by most to be the greatest bicycle racer of all time, retired from racing he returned to his home country of Belgium and set up shop making some of the finest bicycle frames in the world. This is his way of giving back to the sport that means everything to him.

Eddy's top end carbon frame. The Merckx AXM is a true monocoque frame - completely formed in 1 piece with no internal or external reinforcements with any material other than carbon. Complete monocoque construction eliminates the chance of creaking or squeaking resulting from varied materials shifting or rubbing against each other. Over 100 layers of various grades of carbon fiber, Kevlar, and titanium are hand wrapped to create this stunning frame. It is then cured in a vacuum autoclave at 6 atmospheres pressure to compact the layers and force out any air pockets that could weaken the frame. Special curved seatstays and top tube add extra comfort. Includes a Merckx designed High Modulus carbon fork developed in conjunction with Easton. Also includes a WC carbon fiber seatpost. Color is black with red. Cycles BiKyle adds a Campagnolo Record integrated headset at no extra charge!

Completely handmade of over 100 layers of specially designed carbon fiber. Includes T700 Tenax and UTS Tenax fibers for strength, rigidity and elasticity plus K210 Aramid fibers for extra dampening. Then, a top layer of T300 Tenax is added for an exquisitely smooth finish. The entire frame is made in 1-piece to eliminate creaking or movement over time. Includes a Merckx designed carbon fork made by Easton and a carbon seatpost. Colors are blue.white and black.white.red. Cycles BiKyle adds a Campagnolo Record integrated headset at no extra charge!

Handmade full carbon monocoque main triangle bonded to carbon fiber rear stays. Made of T700 carbon plus K210 Aramid fibers for extra dampening. The top layer is T300 carbon for an extra-smooth finish. Over 100 separate layers of fiber are used in each frame! There are on other materials that can create creaking or movement under use. Includes Merckx designed carbon fork and carbon fiber seatpost. Requires Campagnolo 1 1/8" integrated headset which is additional. Color is black with red.
