The stiff and light double butted 7005aluminum frame is perfect for aggressive trail riding with 100mm RockShox Judy J1 fork, Hayes MX-2 mechanical disc brakes and SRAM SX4-5 trigger shifting. The crankset is TruVativ IsoFlow (42x32x22) with Sram 11-32t 8 speed cassette and a Power Spline bottom bracket. 32h Alex TD17 allow rims are matched to meaty WTB WeirWolf Comp tires to maintain the grip. Lighter by 1/2 lb than the classic Id, the California Id uses the wonderful Fox Float AVA R air shock to approach the plushness of the Fox Vanilla coil shock with less weight. As an added bonus, the Fox Float gives the California Id a lowered, even more stable bottom bracket with an added 1/2" of stand over clearance.
