After countless New England ski seasons wearing wool socks, SmartWool's founder, Peter Duke, was talked into trying synthetic socks that "wicked". The result was a cold, wet winter for his feet. Peter realized that that these new materials could not outdo mother nature. So, he and his wife, Patty, set out to improve on the proven: make wool, a time-tested performer with natural wicking and insulating properties, comfortable and convenient. And that is just what they did! They took the itch and shrink out of wool by making wool smart. The SmartWool process has worked so well in socks that they carried over the comfort and performance benefits into underwear, hats, gloves, and accessories.

	All SmartWool products start with high-grade Australian Merino wool and put it through a special process to create a knitted yarn that is soft and silky to the touch and won't shrink in the washing machine or dryer.
	Each SmartWool fiber contains thousands of micro-pores that wick, absorb, and evaporate moisture as well as insulate.

Spring Glove ~

A warm glove that is still very flexible and provides excellent brake, shifting, and bar control. The inner liner is Merlino SmartWool. The outer layer is Graflex with leather palm and fingers. Stretch nylon panels on the wrist and back of hand add to the suppleness. An adjustable hook-and-loop strap on the wrist guarantee a great fit. Of course, there is a nose-wipe panel on the thumb!

Glove Liners ~

This flat knit, all-purpose glove is ideal alone or for use under a favorite glove or mitten. Remember, keep 100% SmartWool next to the skin! Color is black.

Smart Beanie ~

Double layers of SmartWool for maximum warmth with minimal weight. Adjustable length provides versatility and ear protection. Contoured construction for a nice, snug fit. Color is black. One size fits all.

Helmet Liner ~

Contoured 3-panel construction fits close to the head and the flat seams, with no bulk, allow for an easy fit under most cycling helmets. The binding edges pull the liner snug to protect against wind chill. Color is black. One size fits all.
