Touring Tips ~

Here are some check lists to help you plan an overnight bicycle tour.

Mechanical Supplies ~

Clothing ~

Obviously, this varies greatly depending on length of tour, area of tour, time of year. One word of advice, if you are carrying your own gear then go as minimal as possible. Plan to rotate two primary items such as shirts - 1 is washed and dried while the other is worn. Also, keep in mind that in most parts of the world clothing is pretty easy to come by. A torn shirt or some frazzled underwear can be replaced almost anywhere.

Some essentials (depending on season) that you might overlook:

bullet    rain coat
bullet    arm warmers
bullet    knee warmers
bullet    lightweight wind vest
bullet    long fingered gloves for cold mornings

This is a partial list just to help you get started. It is not intended to be a complete list. Your needs may vary. Read some appropriate touring books to help with your planning.
