Look road pedals
Look invented the step-in pedal. And they continue to own the category. Whether your priority is performance, dependability, or value, we unanimously recommend Look. What do we ride? At Cycles BiKyle, we all ride Look.
Keo Classic 3+ significantly improves upon its legendary predecessors. It’s lighter (280g). It’s more efficient. And, it’s less expensive! Lighter spring tension makes it our first recommendation for newer or smaller riders. Metal reinforcements in the platform transfer more power while increasing durability. Spring tension is adjustable so the Classic 3+ will keep up if you start to ride more aggressively.
Keo Max 2 (263g) easily beats the competition in performance, dependability, and value in its price range. In fact, in our testing the Max 2 even outperforms all road pedal in the $150 price range …. except Look’s Keo Carbon.
Keo Carbon v4 (245g) replaces the metal spring of the Max 2 with a carbon-like polyamide composite spring. The drop in weight is noticeable, especially because pedals are rotating weight. But to us, the greatest value is in release consistency. As the temperature drops, steel springs get stiffer and can actually hang up. Look’s ultra-smooth composite spring never hangs up. If you ride below 45^F it is truly a game changer.
Keo Ceramic v4 (220g) upgrades Keo Carbon pedals to ceramic bearings. Can you feel the difference? Very easily in your hand. Come in and test them blindfolded; you won’t have to guess! These ceramic bearings make for easier climbing, acceleration, and sprints.
Keo Ceramic Ti v4(175g) are laughably light in the hand and shockingly fast in the sprint. If you are under 200 pounds and want an easily recognizable advantage then look no further. You WILL feel the difference.
